Our Rich History
Hebron School was formed through the amalgamation of Lushington Boys’ School and Hebron Girls’ School in 1974/75. However, our legacy dates back to 1899, when Hebron was established in Coonoor by Miss Grace Orlebar to serve the children of Brethren missionaries.
Lushington Hall, built in 1827-28, became a central part of our history when it was purchased in 1941 as a boys’ hostel. Over time, it evolved into the senior school campus we know today. The sale of Hebron’s original Coonoor campus funded the construction of our current infrastructure, blending tradition with modernity.
Through decades of changes, Hebron School has consistently adapted to meet the needs of its students while retaining its founding mission and values.
